Father God, I need Your help. I’m only 15 days into the new year and the things I wanted to accomplish this year have already begun to fall by the wayside. I find myself slipping back into old familiar habits already.
I know that I will never become what You’ve said I will be by doing what I’ve always done. I know I will never accomplish what You have ordained for me unless I’m willing to dig out of the rut, I’m in and do something different. Lord, I need Your help with self-control.
Your word says over and over that I have self-control, but, I know, I do not operate in it as I should. Help me strengthen my resolve to muster my self-control, one day at a time, for one issue at a time, so that I can capture and harness the power You’ve given me by the Holy Spirit and begin to operate in excellence for Your kingdom here on earth.
