Lord God, there is so much going on in the world, and there are a lot of reasons to be fearful. People want to protest peacefully, but instigators stir up trouble, and people get killed because they are exercising their constitutional rights.
Hurricanes, earthquakes, and the on-going threat of human-made disasters are enough to make me want to stay in the house and never come out. But You have not given me the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and of a sound and self-controlled mind.
I believe that nothing can come against me that will overtake me. Nothing can arise against me that You haven’t already conquered. Lord, strengthen my faith in You. I can’t do anything without You, but all things are possible when I put my faith and trust in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
