Lord, there is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against you. The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with You. Neither Republicans nor Democrats can out-think, outmaneuver or manipulate You. Your plan will stand above everything.
Father, the president’s heart is in Your hand, and You direct it like a watercourse, wherever You please. President Trump and our Congressional leaders think what they are doing is right, but You weigh their hearts.
Lord, You said that plans belong to the hearts of men, but from You comes the reply of the tongue. All our ways seem innocent to us, but You weigh our motives. Lord, if our government leadership’s motives are not right, please spoil their plans. Allow Your ideas, Your concerns, and Your love for the good of the people to override motivation to do us harm.
Lord, Your word says that the government is on Jesus’ shoulders. I have no reason to fear, be dismayed, or alarmed because I know that You will take care of me. There is no government’s plan that can stand against the idea of God. Nothing they design will hurt my family or me because God will take care of us.
When it comes to my finances, in this season, I am learning that God’s goodness and His provisions don’t rest on the balance of my checking or savings accounts; it rests on His word that says He will take care of me. Give us peace and give our government officials a mind to do what is right for the people. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
