Walk in the Light
…”By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.”… Exodus 13:21
Has God ever required you to travel by night? Has God ever put you in a place where it seems that he’s shut every door, except one? And, as if that wasn’t enough, he proceeds to close and lock every window. In other words, God has cut off all other means of escape from your original situation.
Then, to add insult to injury, he turns up the heat where you are so that you can’t stay there. Forcing you to take the only route you have left. Has God ever forced you out of your comfort zone when you didn’t have a plan? Has he ever made you travel in the dark?
You cry out, but all you hear is silence. You pray, but don’t hear anything. You resolve to go back the way you came, but you can’t. All the roads leading back to where you had been are blocked off or cut off.
Look in front of you. There is a pillar of fire to give you light. It’s there to lead you. Your pillar may be on your nightstand. It may be on your coffee table, or maybe you left it in your car the last time you went to church.
Your pillar of fire is God’s word! The light to guide you in your darkest moments can be found between the front and back covers of your Bible. In Exodus 13:21 the pillar of cloud and fire guided the people through the wilderness and assured them of God’s presence. That’s what the word of God does for us.
Are you walking in the dark? Has God led you into a wilderness experience? If so, here is some light for you to walk in:
• I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly realm – Ephesians 1:3
• I am chosen by the Father – Ephesians 1:4
• I am God’s workmanship – Ephesians 2:10
• I am victorious – I John 5:4
• I am an over comer – Revelation 12:11
• I am healed – I Peter 2:24
• I will prosper – III John 2
• I am more than a conqueror – Romans 8:37
• God has given me the ability to produce wealth – Deuteronomy 8:18
• God hears me when I call – Isaiah 65:24
Remember, once light hits darkness there so no more darkness.
