God never promised that our lives would be void of heartache, lack, or having less than we need. But He did promise that He would never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). He promised He would always be with us, would strengthen us, and He would uphold us (Isaiah 41:10). And that nothing would separate us from His love. (Romans 8:38 – 39). His promises will never return to Him void, but they will accomplish what He has set them out to do. What a blessing!
