Lord, thank You for transforming me. You had created me in Your image, but throughout living my life without You, I, the world system and, Satan had distorted me and made me look like something I was not.
How I view myself is out-of-focus, cloudy, and faulty. But now, Jesus has entered my life and began to transform me into who I am to be. Thank You, Lord!
Father God, sometimes I resist the transformation that is taking place in my life because I remember what I was and what I did. I look at myself through the lens of yesterday. Thankfully, You look at me through the lens of what I will be in Christ Jesus.
I look at all my mistakes but, You see my potential. I look at all my shortcomings, but you see all the greatness You have prepared for me. I try to see myself the way I think other people see me but, You see me through the unconditional love You have for me.
Thank You, Lord, for looking beyond all my failures and faults and loving me anyway. Thank You for forgetting my past and pressing me into my future. Thank You for not holding anything I’ve done against me but allowing Your grace and mercy to cover the multitude of my sins.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
