Prayer for Today

June 4, 2020

Father it seems with all the media coverage about protestors, and the response from the White House, they have forgotten the people who were adversely affected by Atatiana Jefferson, Ahmaud Arbery, and George Floyd’s death.

There are family members; mothers, fathers, children and loved ones who have had a part of the hearts ripped out. There are friends, co-workers and acquaintances that were waiting to see their friend again, but have to deal with the truth that their friend has been murdered for no reason other than the color of their skin.

Lord, it seems that we have forgotten about other people that lost their lives because of who they love, because of how they decide to dress, or their choice in gender identification. Their families are in mourning and will grieve the loss of their loved ones for a long time.

Father, give them peace and joy that can only come from You. Help us to see the needs of our brothers and sisters and give to them to support them in the time of need. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
