Prayer for Today

March 31, 2020

Father God, the one thing we can never recover is time. Once it’s gone, it’s gone never to be seen again. Whether it’s a minute, an hour, or even a second, time is fleeting as it moves by us and into eternity.

I know since I was asked to stay home during the COVID-19 outbreak, I have not been as productive as I should have been. When I was going into the office, going to church, attending civic meetings, etc., I was always asking You for more time to do the things I wanted to do. Now, You’ve given me the time, and I’m complaining about not being able to leave the house. Forgive me.

Today Lord, I give You my time. Help me to be more focused and productive on the things You have told me to do, but I always said I didn’t have time to do. Help me do the things I need to do and not just focus on the things I want to do. Help me not to be lazy or sluggard, but to move out, and do what You have ordained for me.

Father, my time is a valuable commodity that You have given me to fulfill all the tasks of my day, and then, to find sweet sleep at the end of my work. My time is not intended to be wasted or killed. Forgive me for wasting my time and help me to move into a new level of time management. Help me manage my time by the task You give me to complete and not by my lazy tendencies.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

10 Second Prayer

God specializes in handling our situations and circumstances. Nothing we can do or anywhere we can go is beyond God’s ability and desire to reach us.

Stop fretting over things you can’t do anything about and give them to God. He can take care of them completely.
