Lord God, my Heavenly Father, You have told me to be strong and courageous, and not fret because of evil men. Your word says if I keep my mind on You, You will keep me in perfect peace. You told me You’d be with me always, and You’ll never leave me nor forsake me.

I believe Your word is true, but I am human; fear, doubt, anxiety, and fretting are a part of my human nature. They spring up, even when I don’t want them to. Doubt comes upon me, even though I trust You. When I purpose to keep my chin up, and a smile on my face, fear, and anxiety creep into my heart. Lord, help my unbelief.

Help me to speak words of peace and power. Help me walk boldly before You, and men. Allow Your word to anchor me. Hold me steadfast in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
