Lord God, help me give a good word for someone else a good home in my mouth. People are always willing to tear someone down by being a naysayer, a critic, a scoffer or a detractor. Seldom do they consider the impact of their words on the person they are speaking to nor, do they realize their words can devastate a life.
Lord, help me measure my words by using Your word as my guiding light. Your word that instructs me to treat others the way I want to be treated.
Father God, help me speak Your truth to others with gentleness and kindness. Let my words be gracious, without malice or ill-intent. Let me not speak in anger but allow my mouth to utter peace, praise, appreciation and compliments to others. Let me know the love of Christ by the words I speak. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
