Lord God, in the middle of all that’s going on, I sometimes find it hard to muster my faith and believe that everything is going to work together for my good. I know that’s what Your word says, but that’s not what I see.
I see my country’s leadership at each other’s throats. I see murder and mayhem on the 24-hour cycle of news happening in every corner of our country. I see children rebelling against parents and parents not caring for their children. I see fathers leaving the family, mentally, physically, emotions and/or financially deserting their homes. I see war and the forethought of other wars looming on the horizon. There are times that all of this becomes overwhelming.
Then I take a step back and remember: God will take care of me. There is no situation or circumstance that is too big, too lofty or, too difficult for God. Whether it’s my life or the life of our country, God will take care of me.
Thank You, Lord, for caring for me! Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
