Lord God, in the midst, all that is going on in the world are my peace. When I am overwhelmed by the news of impeachment proceedings, innocent people being mowed down in cities all over the nation, or young people being killed in Maryland, DC and Virginia due to violent gangs and innocent men and women being killed by terrorist across the world my peace of mind could easily go out the window, but then You remind me You are my peace, You are my Shalom.
You are the reason I am complete; nothing missing out of my life, nothing out of place. You are the fulfillment of everything I need whenever the need arises.
When everything seems to be going to hell in a handbasket, You lift up a standard again the enemy. Not just my enemies in the world, or my immortal enemy Satan. You lift up a standard against my eternal enemies; fear, anger, unforgiveness, bitterness, hatefulness, gossiping tongue, insecurity, and all other things that rage in me.
I have no reason to fret because You are with me. I have no reason to worry because Your rod and Your staff comfort me. I have no reason to doubt that I’ll get through this because I am in You.
Thank you for being my peace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
