Father God, what a blessing it is to come before You today and make my request known to You. Today Father I want to be like Balaam when he said, “’I must speak only what God puts in my mouth.”’
Lord, set a guard over my mouth. Allow my words to be a fountain of wisdom, not a babbling brook. Let my words refresh and revive those around me, not anger and confuse them. Most of all, allow my words to be few but true. Let no falsehood linger on my lips. May all I do or say bring glory, not shame to Your name today.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
