Lord God, it seems that no matter how much You give me, I always want something more, something different or something better. I want more money, a better job or a different outcome to a situation. I’m always asking You for me, but I don’t always thank You for what You’ve already given me.
Today Father God, I just want to be thankful. I don’t want to ask for anything; I just want to give You thanks for all you’ve done for me.
The fact I can read this prayer means You gave me sight today, thank You. The fact I can hear my spouse, children, television, neighbor, or the truck going down the street means You gave me hearing today, thank You. I have gas in my car or have the strength to walk to a bus stop, either way, thank You for the provision to get me where I need to go.
Today Lord, I want to be grateful and thankful. I don’t want to take anything for granted because it could have been different had You not thought enough of me to give me everything I need to move through my day in victory. Thank You.
