Lord God, today, I want to recognize Your supreme authority over everything in my life. You will set everything in my life in order if I submit to You.

Submission is so very difficult. I want what I want when I want it. But I know that my plans and Your plans may not be the same and that Your plans always prevail. Help me, Father, not to be resentful or angry when my plans fall by the wayside. Help me to rest in Your unfathomable love for me, knowing that Yare working everything for my good. It may not feel good or look good, but in the long run I know it will be for my good.

Forgive me for trying to manipulate circumstances and people. Honestly, I’ve tried to manipulate You to get my way. Please Lord, fulfill Your will for my life and let me walk in Your peace all the days of my life.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
