Lord, in a world filled with hate speech, evil intentions, difficult interactions between people, crimes, murder and mayhem; be our peace.
Our children should go to school to learn and better themselves, not to have to protect themselves from bullies who treat them like they don’t matter and predators who treat them as prey. Some of our children may lose hope and consider suicide. Lord God, intervene and send someone to rescue them and let them know someone is there for them and so are you. Father, be their peace.
In a time when it feels like every sound bite on the television or the radio is negative, hate filled, demeaning, or demoralizing, God, be our peace.
Be our refuge in this weary land. Be our shelter in the time our internal and external storms. Be our resting place in the midst of our restless wandering. Be our light in the middle of darkness. We need you Lord. We need you! In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
