Father, I started this New Year with goals, plans and promises, but yesterday; the things that happened in the past are creeping into my today. I want to move forward, into what is good, right and perfect in your sight for me today.
Please release me from the bondage of yesterday. I do not want to hold on to what was, but I want to move into what is and what shall be. I do not want yesterday to cling to me. I don’t want to keep doing things the same old way if the old way can’t bring about the results I want today, and position me for greatness tomorrow.
Lord God, I want every area in my life to be affected by you. I want my life to change so that I can see the newness of you in everything I do. I want to let go of everything that brings me pain, emotional discomfort or an unhealthy lifestyle. Father, I want to be new in you.
I want to have the right mind set; positive. I want the right frame of mind; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I want the right spirit; nothing is impossible for me to achieve. And, I want this mind set, frame of mind and spirit to operate in me every day of my life.
I want to achieve the greatness you purposed for me and I will do it if I keep my mind steadfast on you. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
