Father, I am realizing how much of my old sinful life I have allowed to weigh me down with guilt, doubt and shame.

Being guilty about things that happened years ago, isn’t doing me any good today. Having doubt about my abilities today based on something I messed up yesterday isn’t going to position me for my tomorrow. Being ashamed of something I did is not going to help me become the great person I am destined to be.

Lord, help me feast on the truth of your word and remember the good that you started in me, you will finish. You have not condemned me because of my past. On the contrary, because of your great love for me, you sent your Son to die for my sins, to cleanse me from all unrighteousness, thereby making me the righteousness of God.

Lord, I want freedom from my past failures, faults and transgressions. I want to walk freely into the fullness you have for me every day of my life. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
