God Is Building Trust Before Success
Many believers pray for greater influence, larger ministries, successful businesses, healthier families, and expanded opportunities.
These are worthy prayers.
However, before God enlarges our assignment, He enlarges our capacity to trust Him.
Trust cannot be developed through theory alone. It grows through experience.
Every uncomfortable season teaches us another reason why God can be trusted. Every unexpected obstacle becomes another testimony. Every prayer answered becomes another reminder that He is faithful.
Sometimes we become frustrated because we believe we are ready for the next level, but God knows what it will require. The blessing may be ready, but our faith must be strong enough to carry its weight.
Success brings its own challenges. Greater influence brings greater responsibility. Larger opportunities require deeper wisdom. Expanded territory requires stronger spiritual roots.
God is not simply preparing the opportunity for us; He is preparing us for the opportunity.
That preparation often happens in places no one applauds. It happens when we keep serving even when no one notices. It happens when we remain faithful after disappointment.
Preparation happens when God says, “Wait,” and we continue trusting Him even though we do not understand the delay.
These seasons build spiritual muscle.
They teach us that our confidence cannot rest in circumstances, resources, connections, or our own abilities.
Our confidence must rest in God. By the time David stood before Goliath, he already possessed a history with God.
The giant looked impossible to everyone else, but David remembered the lion. He remembered the bear and David remembered God’s faithfulness.
David could face what was in front of him because he remembered what God had already brought him through.
Comfort would never have prepared David for Goliath. The hidden fields of obedience did. So do not despise the hidden season.
God may be building a history between you and Him that you will need when your Goliath appears. Today’s challenge may become tomorrow’s testimony. Today’s lesson in trust may become the foundation you stand upon when God opens the door you have been praying for.
Before God gives you greater success, He may first be teaching you greater trust.
