Prayer for Today

psalm-25-5

April 25, 2017

Father I need your peace! Everyday there’s another terrorist attack, another threat against humanity. Everyday it seems someone or something is trying to bring fear into our lives, but I put my hope in you Lord God.

King David said it best when he said, ‘Lord, guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior, and my hope is in you all day long.’ And again, when he said, ‘Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.’

Lord, I know that you will not be put to shame if I put my hope in you. You will not disgrace me because you are my help, my peace, my joy and my faith is in you.

I will not put my faith in the things of this world; not the president, not congress and not the senate. I will not put my hope in the military nor any of our weapons but I will believe in your word that says you hear me when I pray.

Father, hear my prayer and grant me your peace. In Jesus name, amen.
