Prayer for Today

i-corinthians-6-12

January 23, 2017

Lord God, I cannot press into my best without good health, wellness and fitness; therefore, I am coming to you this morning in prayer because I need your help.

I have developed habits that are destroying my health and I need your help to take back my life, health and strength from the things I have become addicted to; legal, regular and ordinary things that are causing disease in my body. Things like caffeine, sugar, salt, bad fats, tobacco and nicotine are causing me harm. Lord, I need your help to break free from these addictions.

I have developed habits that feed my emotional addictions for drama and trauma. It seems I always need to find something to stress or be anxious about. I have addictions to bad relationships. Relationships in which I am always giving but receiving nothing in return or relationships where I am always taking but giving nothing. It seems I can’t give up these relationships even though they are killing me spiritually and emotionally.

Father, I want freedom to live my life in wholeness and wellbeing. Freedom from sickness and disease and freedom from mental and emotional package.

Lord, be my guide as I pursue a healthy lifestyle. Help me and strengthen me as I begin the quest to be the best me you created me to be. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Stop fretting over things you can’t do anything about and give them to God. He can take care of them completely.
