Father on the day of the Inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, we ask for your healing love and grace. We need your peace and mercy to flow over our country. We are in desperate need of you!
We need your ethics and your morals to be our guiding light. We need your peace that surpasses all human understanding to rest, rule and abide in our hearts and minds. We need your word to permeate the hearts and minds of all Americans; White, African-American, straight, gay, born in the US, legally immigrated to the US, or illegal immigrants. No matter what label we put on ourselves or others put on us, we need you.
As a nation, in families and even in churches, we are in turmoil and complete disarray. While we have strayed so far from you, we, your children Lord God, are asking that you would lead us in a path back to you. The ways that are good, right and perfect in your sight.
Help us Lord! In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
