Father, protect our nation. Only you can. We come into this New Year as a nation divided. Brothers against brothers. Fathers against sons. Mothers against daughters. Help us Lord!

Those of us who call ourselves Christians aren’t using the blood of your son as our unifier. The power of the blood that was shed to make us one with you and one with each other, is being ignored as we verbally and sometime physically, wrestle with each other. Forgive us Lord!

Your word says a house divided against itself cannot stand. Father, help us to unify before it’s too late and we come like the great whore of Babylon and destroy ourselves by leaving ourselves open to the destruction of our enemies.

Make us one Lord as you and the Father are one. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
