Father God, this year I will not envy other people. I will pursue my greatness in you. I will not desire the company of the ungodly, whether in person or on television but, I will fill my time getting to know you better.
Lord, to become all that you have purposed me to be, I must chase your wisdom, understanding and knowledge. I can’t chase after you and follow the ungodly too. So, I chose you.
Father, help me as I pursue you and work to obtain more of your wisdom, understanding and knowledge, please send me a mentor. I know that your Holy Spirit will lead to into all truth but, it would be great to have someone pulling alongside me to help me work through your word. Someone who can walk with me, help guide me and point me to you. This is my earnest and heartfelt prayer.
In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
