Father,

As I begin making plans and setting goals for myself, my family, and my professional life this year, do not let me forget that my plans must remain surrendered to Yours. Nothing I could ever plan for myself would be better than what You have already ordained for my life.

I know everything will not unfold the way I want or expect. Nevertheless, I trust that You will guide my steps according to Your divine purpose. Help me mature spiritually so that when Your will overrides my plans, I will not fret, complain, or grumble. Instead, teach me to rest in the assurance that You love me, care for me, and always have my best interests at heart.

When doors close unexpectedly, help me trust Your wisdom. When my plans are delayed or redirected, give me patience and understanding. Remind me that what feels like an interruption may actually be Your divine protection or preparation for something greater.

You established my path long before I understood where You were leading me, and You know what is best for me. Continue perfecting the work You began within me so that my character, desires, and decisions align with Your purpose.

Thank You, Lord, for caring enough about me to direct my steps. Thank You for preparing opportunities for me to grow, serve, and flourish in the land of the living. I surrender my goals, expectations, and future to You. May Your plans take precedence over mine, and may my life bring glory to Your name.
