Father God, I ask for Your forgiveness this morning. I have come up short of the glory of God because I have failed to be obedient to Your word. I have failed to love my neighbor has myself and I have seen the needy, heard their cries but have ignored them. Forgive me.

I know when I ignore the needy and I refuse to help the lost, the less than and the marginalized, I have ignored and refused to help You. This is why Your word says, what I did for the less of these, I did it for You. Forgive me.

Father, help me think of others higher than I think of myself. Help me to be more like Jesus, He who had no sin, but became sin for the world so that we might have eternal life. Forgive me Father! In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
