Father, resting in your arms gives me a unique perceptive on the things going on in the world around me.
While other people are worried and frantic about the election, I know your word says, the government is on Jesus’ shoulders. I must carry out my civic duty and responsibility to vote, but beyond that, you, through Christ, are in control.
While other people are scurrying around overly concerned about the country’s financial stability, I cast all my cares onto you because you care for me. When other people are feeling overwhelmed by all the violence going on in the world, I look to you as my protection.
Father, I rest in the assurance that you are all that you say you are for me. Thank you for being my hope, my grace, my mercy, my righteousness and my protection in the times of trouble, dismay and alarm. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
