“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
Day 3

The Difference Between Comfort and Calling
Comfort says, “Stay where you are.”
Calling says, “Come follow Me.”
Comfort asks, “What if I fail?”
Faith asks, “What if God succeeds through me?”
Comfort measures circumstances by human ability.
Faith measures circumstances by God’s power.
Many believers mistakenly assume that if something is difficult, it must not be God’s will. Scripture teaches the exact opposite. Some of God’s greatest assignments involve obstacles that exceed human capability. Why? Because impossible assignments require divine intervention.
If we can accomplish everything through our own education, experience, finances, connections, or talents, we may never discover the fullness of God’s strength.
God specializes in assignments that expose our limitations while revealing His unlimited power. If God is exposing your limitations, don’t fret. God only exposes our limitations so we can tap into His power to gain what we need to move from comfort to calling.
Comfort may feel good, but being comfortable will never satisfy the nagging in your heart telling you there’s more to life than what you’re experiencing. And comfort will never take you where you want to go. Comfort doesn’t lead to promotions, elevation, or satisfaction. Only fulfilling your God-given call can satisfy your soul.
Questions to Consider:
Are you willing to give up something that makes you comfortable in order to obtain your calling?
What comfort are you willing to give up?
