God has the Blueprint
“My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalms 139:15 – 16 (NIV)
A blueprint is an architectural plan or an engineering design that lays out how something, whether a shopping mall, office building, home, or even a car, is going to be built. Every detail about the item is in the blueprint.
Nothing is done to the physical project until the blueprint is approved. Where every bathroom is going to go to is in the blueprint. The blueprint tells the builder the width, height, and depth of the dashboard in a vehicle. The length and span of a bridge are in the blueprint before one beam is purchased.
Nothing is left to chance. Everything is designated and approved before any work begins. So it was with our lives. God designed our lives and laid out the blueprint before we were born. He gave us all the attributes we need to withstand whatever life throws at us.
God already knows the end from the beginning of our lives, and He designed us to be able to live our lives to fit His plan and purpose. God did not leave anything to chance. He designed us to establish His purpose and allow Him to accomplish His good pleasure in our lives. (Isaiah 46:8 – 10).
God has already marked out the good works He wants us to do. So why aren’t we doing them? The issue is simple: we’re stuck. We are stuck on something that happened in our lives or something we did, and now we think His plan for us is over. No way!
God’s blueprint for our life included the mess-ups, shortcomings, failures, and falls of life. Nothing we have done or has been done to us has stopped God’s plan for our lives. So, we need to get out of our comfort zones and start fulfilling God’s plan for our lives!
Prayer:
Lord, I never thought about my life being laid out by You in the form of a blueprint. I never considered that Your plan for my life made provision for my shortcomings, mess-ups, failures, and falls. You still have a plan for me. I haven’t ruined it. Thank you, Lord, for Your grace and Your mercy. I pray in Jesus’s name. Amen.
Just for Today:
I will seek after God’s blueprint for my life, starting by reading Psalms 139 and Ephesians 2.
