Lord God, with everything going on, some days, I feel like I’m walking in the valley of the shadow of death. I feel hate, malcontent, and anger all around me, but I know no matter what goes on in my life, Jesus is still my Good Shepherd.
When I find myself in hard or difficult situations, even situations that may be considered dangerous, Jesus is right there with me. He will not allow anything that comes against me to succeed.
Father God, you are my provider and my source. Just like a shepherd is the provider and the source for sheep. I am the sheep of Your pasture. You cause me to slow down, and rest in You to restore my soul, so You can lead me to the rightness path that You have already designed for me.
You, Lord God, are my everything and my all and all. Please help me to remember that, and not frustrate myself by trying to do things my way. Help me rest in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
