 Lord, I realize that I must forgive myself if I’m going to move out of my spiritual rut. I must show myself mercy and allow Your grace to abound in my heart and my mind.

Lord God, I thank You for loving me even when I don’t love myself. Thank you for not condemning me when I condemn myself. Thank You for forgiving me, although I hold myself hostage to my past, and I don’t always forgive myself.

Thank You for extending Your grace and mercy to me even when I don’t take advantage of it and, I still want to hold myself captive to my faults and shortcomings. Thank You, God, for Your Son, Jesus Christ, because, through Him, I have rare salvation, which is rich in benefits and free to me because I believe Jesus is Your Son, and He died for me.

Help me, Lord, to forgive myself. In Jesus, name, I pray. Amen.
