Lord, You have promised me to make way for me even when the path You’ve placed me on seems to have more obstacles than opportunities and more stumbling blocks than stepping stones.
Father, You said You’d make way for me where there doesn’t appear to be one and You’d provide for me as I followed the path You laid out for me.
But, You require me to forget the old things, the previous ways I walked, and the outcomes. Good, bad or indifferent, my old way of doing things is not going to get me to the new places You’re taking me. Help me to fix my eyes forward on where You are taking me, not on where I’ve been.
Help me to not hold on to what was in the past, but to trust You to lead me forward into my future. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
