Father God, we pray the part of the Lord’s Prayer that says, “your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” often without thinking about it, but today we are purposefully asking for your will to be done in our lives.
Father, you know what is good, right and perfect for each of us. Every good and perfect gift comes from you. You know exactly what we need and when we need it. You know how to show your strength, power and righteousness through our lives. Today we commit to submit to your overarching authority in our lives.
Lord, when our flesh starts to scream because we’re uncomfortable, comfort us by your Holy Spirit. God, we’ve been praying for (fill in whatever you’ve been praying for. Some examples: a closer walk with God, a healthier lifestyle, a mate, a change of heart in your children, a financial blessing or deliverance from past pains, etc.) ___________________________________________________ and we know the first step to moving forward is for your will to be done in our lives.
We will not listen to unwise council. We will keep our eyes steadfast and fix on you because you are the author, the perfecter and the finisher of our faith. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
