Lord God, in the quiet time of my day, I seek to hear Your still small voice. Amid the hectic time of my days and nights, I need to listen to Your voice. When I’m watching the news or reading about current events, I need to hear. You assure me everything is going to be okay.
Father God, help me set aside time each day, so I can talk to You and hear from You. Your words are a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. But how can You lead and guide me in the way You want to me go if I don’t listen to You and follow Your instructions.
Some days it seems like You have stopped speaking to me. But the reality is, I’ve stopped listening to You. I have become distracted by all the stuff going on in the world. I have not made time with you a priority. Forgive me.
Lord God, help me focus on You and what You have ordained that I don for God’s kingdom here on earth. I thank You, Lord, for being with me all the time, and speaking to me by Your Word and by Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name. I pray. Amen.
