Lord, I thank You for peace. Not the temporary peace that the world gives, but the peace that You give us that surpasses all human understanding.
When things are going haywire and people around us are feeling lost, empty, and void of hope, we, Your children, can rejoice and rest in the peace that You have given us.
Thanks to You, we do not have to lean on our own understanding, wisdom, knowledge, or insight. We can rest in the totality of who You are, knowing that no matter what happens in the world, You will never leave us or forsake us. You will never leave us open to the foolishness of the world if we keep our minds focused on You.
Thank You, Father God, for Your peace that allows me to smile and be glad even when the world seems to be coming apart at the seams. Thank You for Your peace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
