Father God, this morning I want to thank you for not giving me what I deserve. I deserved judgement for my actions against you but you gave me your unfathomable love.

I deserved to be isolated from your goodness and kindness but instead, you gave me your friendship. I deserved eternal damnation but through your son, you purchased my salvation. I deserve to be treated like your enemy but instead, you treat me like your favorite child.

My disobedience to your word and my reluctance to live holy before you should have disqualified me from your grace but instead, your grace and your mercy have abounded to me.

My words seem to be inadequate to thank you for not giving me what I deserve or treating me the way I deserve to be treated. I so appreciate the love, grace and mercy you show me every day. Help me to show that same love, grace and mercy to people in my life. I pray in Jesus name. Amen!
