Prayer for Today

all-things-philippians-4-13

August 3, 2016

Father, because of you, your son and the Holy Spirit that dwells in me, I never have to quit! I never have to give up on anything that you have given me to fulfill my destiny in you.

I may have to take a step back, reassess and change direction, but I don’t have to quit. I may have to add advisors, change my game plan, tweak my time line or revise my outcome forecast, but I don’t have to quit.

Making adjustments and allowing for change, growth and downsizing in the midst of a project is wisdom at work. Quitting because things are going my way is a sign of immaturity and small mindedness.

Lord, forgive me for complaining, groaning and grumbling when things don’t go the way I planned.  Forgive me for quitting and leaving my work incomplete because I was in my feelings and fell out of your will.

Father, from this day forward I will adjust, but I will not quit. I will reimage, but I will not quit. I will reformulate, but I will not quit. I will reassess, but I will not quit! This is my prayer and my promise, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

God specializes in handling our situations and circumstances. Nothing we can do or anywhere we can go is beyond God’s ability and desire to reach us.

Stop fretting over things you can’t do anything about and give them to God. He can take care of them completely.
