Father, your word says that whatever I set my hand to do will be blessed. As I start this New Year, I want to move forward into what is good, right and perfect in your sight for me. I want you to bless the work of my hands as I work to do your will.

Please release me from the bondage of yesterday. I do not want to hold on to what was. I want to move into what is and what shall be without yesterday clinging to me. I don’t want to keep doing things the same old way. I want to do things your way, which will bring me into greatness.

Lord God, I want every area in my life to be affected by you. I want my life to change so that I can see the newness of you in everything I do. I want to let go of everything that brings me pain, emotional discomfort or an unhealthy lifestyle. Lord, I want to be new in you.

I want to have the right mind set; positive. I want the right frame of mind; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I want the right spirit; nothing is impossible for me to achieve and I want to renew my mind in your word every day.

I want to achieve the greatness you purposed for me and if I follow your plan for me and obey your voice, I will do it. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
