“The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.” Romans 4:23 – 25
When people tell me they don’t know if they have faith to believe God for something he has promised, I asked them one thing; “Do you believe God raised Jesus from the dead?” Every time I ask that question, I get the same answer, “Of course.”
“Well”, I say, “what’s crazier? To believe that a man died, was in the grave for three days and then got up, or believing that God is going to meet your need?” I mean, think about it!
When we say we are Christians, that means we believe that Jesus died, went to the grave and into hell then, he left hell and got up from the grave (Ephesians 4:7 – 10). He walked around earth for 40 days (Acts 1:3) then he ascended to heaven (John 20:17).
Without proof or faith, that whole scenario sounds crazy! But, because we have faith, we believe what is humanly impossible! Because we are justified by our faith in the finished work of Jesus, nothing is impossible for us! Nothing!
So, what don’t you think you have enough faith to believe? That God will meet a financial need you have? That your gifts will make room for you? That you’re important to the kingdom of God? That you find your mate or by found by your mate? That God will turn around your spouse, son or daughter? Nothing is impossible for you to believe if you enough faith to believe that Jesus got up!
“Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God because ‘the righteous will live by faith’”. Galatians 3:11
Father, help me to stop speaking against my faith! If I have faith enough to believe in Jesus Christ and all he did for me, I have enough faith to believe you for anything. Thank you Lord for increasing my faith is your truth. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
