You’re the One
In our walk with Christ, we must remember that we are the ones God has chosen for our assignments. It doesn’t matter what someone else may say or think. God chose us.

Then the Lord said, ‘Rise and anoint him; he is the one.”’ I Samuel 16:12b (NIV)

Have you ever been placed in a position that no one thought you were good enough or educated enough to hold? Being deemed not good enough is where David found himself when Samuel told Jesse, David’s father, to call David from the field so he could consider David as a candidate for the next King of Israel.

Jesse presented seven sons to Samuel, and God rejected all seven. Samuel asked, “Are these all the sons you have?” Jesse replied no, there was still the youngest. Samuel asked Jesse to send for David, and, low and behold, God chose David.

The Lord tells Samuel, “The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (vs. 7)

Sometimes, we may not look the part or have the education someone else may have, but God has chosen us to fulfill His plan. God doesn’t judge us by the standards of the world. God judges our hearts and considers our character, intentions, morals, and ethics.

In our walk with Christ, we must remember that we are the ones God has chosen for our assignments. It doesn’t matter what someone else may say or think. God chose us.

God didn’t ask anyone else if you or I were good, smart, or attractive enough for our God-given projects. God wrote our assignments in our DNA and hearts before we were born. God knows we’re the best person for the job.

If God called you, you’re the one!

for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.” Romans 11:29

10 Second Prayer

God specializes in handling our situations and circumstances. Nothing we can do or anywhere we can go is beyond God’s ability and desire to reach us.

Stop fretting over things you can’t do anything about and give them to God. He can take care of them completely.
