Father, when life has beaten my down, and I feel like there’s no way to move forward, but I don’t want to stay where I am, I remember You are my glory and the lifter up of my head. When life seems unfair, and the pressures of undue burdens fall on my shoulders, I remember You are my very present help in the time of trouble. When tears fill my eyes, and I want to give up and throw in the towel, I remember Jesus’ nail-scarred hands.
There are so many things I can be anxious, upset, or worried about as I witness murders and mayhem in the streets of our nation. Still, I think about Philippians 4:6; I know everything is going to be alright.
I know that everything that is happening is working for my good, the good of my family, and the good of my community.
Thank You, Lord, for calming the storms in me. Thank You for giving me Your peace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
