Father God, there is so much hate being spread all over the news, social media, and face-to-face encounters. How can I say I’m Your child if I am showing and speaking hate when You, my eternal Father, are love. How can I walk in the doom and darkness of revenge, when You are my joy and my light?
Today and every day, Lord God, help me to show kindness even to those who don’t show kindness to me. Help me be compassionate to others and forgive them for how they treat or have treated me.
Help me to be the light others see in the dark places of their lives and the world. Help me to show your love to others, the same way You show Your love to me every day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
