Lord God, this morning I pray for all the innocent people murdered by vigilantes and extremists who ruled by fear and hate. Those who feel as though they have a privilege that is not afforded to anyone who is not like them, and therefore feel like they can question, detain, intimidate, or kill at will.
Lord, I pray for their families who are grieving the loss of family members, loved ones, and friends. I pray for those who would be anxious about going out and living their healthy lives, thinking that another attack may take place at any time, and this time they may be the victim. Ease their worries and concerns. Lord, let them know that You are their peace and contentment.
Help them reach beyond their strength and find their strength and resolve in You. Uphold their hearts in hope. As a world community, we depend on You to be with the survivors, friends, and families of the lost. Comfort their families and friends soothe worried minds. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
