Father God, today we celebrate Valentine’s Day. A day we set aside to show our love for the special people in our lives. But, when I think about showing love for others, I think about Your willingness to give Your only son to die for our sins, so we can have eternal life.
When I think about love for others, I think about Jesus leaving heaven so he could die on earth for the sins of the world. When I think about great love, I think about all Jesus went through during his short life span, just so he could secure salvation, justification and eternal life for me. That’s amazing love!
Thank You Lord, for loving humankind enough to make the greatest sacrifice of all time, just to show Your love to us. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
