Lord God, it seems no matter how much I do, there is always more to do. It seems like the more I do for people, the more they want me to do. They don’t understand, or they don’t care, that my platter is already overflowing with my “to-do-list” and I can’t take on one more thing.
Then, when I say “no, I can’t do what you want,” they get an unrighteous attitude as if I’ve wronged them.
Lord, I’m tired of them! Help me not to take on a bad attitude. Help me not to sin because of my anger. Help me to remain firm but loving with everyone.
Father God, Your word says that a gentle answer turns away wrath. Help me to answer gently, not get overly angry, and still clearly convey what I mean. Help me not to be wishy-washy in my responses and help me to love everyone with the love of Christ.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
