New Route, Same Destination

Why Our Prayers Don’t Get Answered Sooner, If At All

Reason number 9: God wants to change your direction Isaiah 43:19

May 9, 2019

When you and I are driving, there are times we run into detours. We can no longer take the route we had planned to take but take a new route that we may not have ever taken before. We have to follow the detour signs, and sometimes other drivers, in order to get to our purposed destination. The detour doesn’t change our destination; it just changes how we get there.

If we are following God’s plans for our lives, there are times when God wants us to do something new; He may not answer prayers that are going to keep us in our current condition and in our steady state. God wants  to take us to our divine destination by His divine route.

As you are journeying to your purpose in Christ, don’t get upset when God changes your direction. He is maybe changing your route but not your destination.

Prayer: Lord God, please help me not to get upset, angry and overwhelmed when You change my direction. Help me to enjoy the ride of my new route. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
