Lord, when it seems that everything is going wrong and nothing is going the way I had planned, I find strength and hope in the knowledge that you are the perfect God. Everything you do, everything you purpose and everything that you ordain for my life is perfect.

Nothing can replace the lessons I’ve learned by going through adversity, all the while knowing that you are my very present help in the time of trouble.

Nothing can help me grow and mature more than the difficulties of everyday life, while still clinging and holding steadfast to your unchanging hand. Nothing can prepare me for some of the things I have faced or I am facing. Knowing that you are the same God who helped me through other trials and heartaches calms my heart and soothes my fears.

Father, I’m not saying I enjoy the difficult and uncertain times, but I am saying that I appreciate knowing you’re right there with me, to comfort and protect me because you’re that kind of friend.

Thank you, faithful God. I pray in Jesus, name. Amen.
