“Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” Luke 8:48

In this passage of scripture, the woman had bled for 12 years. She said to herself, ‘if I can touch the hem of his garment, I will be healed.’ Then, she put her faith into action.

She pressed through the crowd, knowing what the consequences would be if she was caught in a public place, while she was bleeding. But, because of her faith in what Jesus could do for her, she was willing to take the risk of being caught and killed to have the opportunity to be healed by the Great Physician.

She tried very hard to be incognito. She had to bend down to touch the fringe on his garment but when the power to heal her left Jesus, he asked a question, “who touched me?” When she realized that should couldn’t go unnoticed, she came forth, threw herself at Jesus’ feet and confessed. This woman exhibited risk taking faith.

Is there something you need God to do for you? Do you have something that you need removed from your life that has plagued or troubled you for a while? Do you really believe God can do what you’re asking him for?  Do you have risk taking faith?

If you have risk taking faith, reach out and touch the Master. He’s waiting to use his power to empower you!

“And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” James 5:15

Prayer:

I am in need of __________________________________________________________________

__________________________________________________________________________________. I have enough faith in you Lord God, to take a risk, knowing that you will never go back on your word. Father, if my faith falters, help my unbelieve. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
